MZ Baghira M4 Carbon Can

I purchased this with a plan to repair and customize it but never found the time and I’m selling my 04 Baghira. This has a hole through the carbon in the strap area. I think that the previous owner cracked it and then exhaust gas leaked through for awhile, nonetheless the carbon is damaged. My plan, which a mechanic could also implement to make a great custom can out of this. The M4’s are notably just a few inches too long to tuck nicely into the wheelwell. M4 makes a kit to replace the packing in these mufflers and also provide the rivets for around $30. They sell replacement carbon for that matter. I was going to buy a thin sheet of stainless on ebay of light enough gauge to form into an elliptical shaped cylinder, using the existing can and some band type clamps to form it. The existing stainless bands on the can would help to hold the shape and along with a few new ones. At the same time I was planning to cut about 2” off the disassembled internal components. The front stainless y-pipe and manifold is worth this price alone and only needs a quick steel wool polish. The ends of the carbon can are polished chrome and will clean up like new. I dont see any signs of roadrash, it is a bit dirty. M4 was selling these for over $400 from what I recall. You probably wont find another one of these used!
