1995 MZ Skorpion 660 Replica

Well, I said it might happen and now it has. I'm simply to big for this bike, and though it has a cool factor that goes to 11, there's no room in my garage for a bike I don't enjoy.

Up for sale is my Grandfather's 1995 Skorpion Replica, in nearly the same condition I found it in. Initially I changed the oil/gas/brake fluid, replaced a couple oil lines, and limped around on bad tires. Since then I've started it up every week or two, rode maybe three tanks of gas through it in the last 6 months, and replaced the rear master cylinder with an identical Brembo unit when the previous unit stuck. I believe the only other non-original item is the front indicators.

Despite my basic resurrection I would strongly recommend going through this bike before attacking any corners with it.

I do have the main fairings, though they are scuffed/cracked along the bottom and in storage right now. I will try to get some pictures of them up tomorrow.

Clean title in my name (done 7-23-2015, DMV says I should have it in the next 10 days or so), current tags.

And to a video of a walk around and cold start http://youtu.be/5snuWjGL1ds

$2500 or top offer takes it.

Someone should buy this quickly. Some little cosmetic issues but its all there and at a reasonable price.

Not many of these around.

I buy it myself but I have a Replica and 3 other Skorpions already!!

Photo gallery updated with pics of the bodywork, and a shot of the identifying tag. Unfortunately, like everybody, I seem to have lost the replica badge from the top of the triples. Anyone know of a way of cross referencing against VIN or something to discover your replica number?

I've asked that question about the tag myself several time online and when I visited the factory in the fall of 2011. I was told there is no list of vin vs. Replica tag number.

I just bought a tadpole trike for exercise and put a contract on a house...all my "fun funds" are gone.
Talk about bad timing on my part... :smt005
Good luck, I hope someone who appreciates what it is will buy it.

He's asked not to be named, I believe he wants to surprise some people at his next meetup. I'll just say it's not staying on the west coast.

Basser,

I was tempted but with one running Replica plus 3 other Sports in various states of repair in the garage/basement I thought I'd be pushing my luck with the better half :D .

Now if I had the time, skill and dedication of Bill or Riverbike I might even have all 4 running at the same time!

So Max - can you zone in a bit on location (NE, SE, etc.)?
