As a project, with no tax and test then maybe £250 - £300, but if you e-bay it you may get more.

Just my take, wait to see what other people think too!

Well, that depends on mileage and over all condition really. having said that, I would expect a running 251 with tax and mot to make at least £450 , but good condition, low mileage examples tend to go for around £600 on e-bay. Obviously, if you are going to sell it as a runner rather than a project, it will make more money if you wait till next spring.

As I said before though, don't just take my opinion, I'm sure there will be more people commenting soon....

I've paid £50 for unused shed-bound 251s, and been given 250s and supafives "just to get them out of the way". But I've also seen them go for silly money on ebay. It also depends where you are in the country.

1991 251s aren't the most sought after MZ - dodgy ignitions and plastic clocks that crack put some people off.

Does the engine turn over - it'll help the price if it does. If you can buy a battery and a can of petrol and get it started, you'll double the price you'll get for it.
