Looking for a ETZ 250 brake calliper, the bleed nipple is knackered on mines, some helicoiled it in past but its completely shagged now, so looking for a good used calliper.. with a intact bleed nipple, and the pistons unsiezed. or if anybody knows of alternatives (not the cheap n nasty brembo clones available from thailand)

Has anybody fitted a brake off a jap bike to there ETZ. i do know certain guzzi and bmw's have a very similar looking brembo brake. I'm also looking for an alternative to the leak prone master cylinder. ideally something i can find in the UK as i don't want to be sat for weeks waiting on a part coming from the other end of the world.

1980 to 1983 or so bmw looks close to what's on my 1995 saxon tour powered with the rotax motor
have a look on the handlebar some kawasaki bikes look similar on the handle bar unit

in fact the klr650 after 2010 here in the usa
uses the same pads fa197 as the rear of my RT125 on its rear
and the unit looks the same as the rt
kaw bn 125 uses it on front wheel

fa18 is a pad number used on a lot of bmw models

An alternative - have the bleed nipple replaced with a bigger one, or use a bleed nipple insert kit:

Trust me I've looked at all the cheap fixes, the calliper is kaput. only way it would work again is getting it welded up, and that means stripping it down, new seals, paying to get it tig welded, and then machined back out.. cheaper and easier to find a replacement. i have feelers out at the moment with burwins and a guy in poland I've bought parts from before.

I've also been told my local breaker has 2 125 ETZ.s in, so i may give them a bell and check the front brakes are the same and go have a look at them.

All of the disk calipers fitted to the ETZs are interchangeable. I've fitted an early ETZ250 one (the real Brembo one) to my daughter's ETZ150, and it's been fine for the last four years.

There's a guy on here breaking an ETZ125 today, worth dropping him a line.

a sane price
is hard to find
i am trying to restore an old amateur radio antenna made of aluminium
and wire.. the new copper wire price is outrageous
replacement parts and clamps are costing a small fortune

nothing is cheap any more

Indeed it is a difficult thing to find, but andy the guy breaking the bike sold me the calliper at a very reasonable price, sure its a little cruddy, he freely admitted that, but even with all the parts bought to rebuild it and paint it. its coming in at around the £50 notes mark. (about $84) and that includes a master cylinder and kit to rebuild it. bargain i say.
