I bought my bike last Saturday, had a nice 200 mile ride on Sunday. Another tomorrow. First gas fill today 4.4 gal (US) at 307.5 miles, I had hit reserve at 298! 70mpg, a new record for any vehicle of mine. That was 100 miles highway and 200 in the hills.

It is a high mileage bike, and I expect the power is off. Any local owners are welcome to give it a ride for a check.

Cheers,

Mark

Mark,
Wecome to the forum.
Been riding a friends KLR 650 on the weekends of past and I've been seeing the mileage in the 62mpg or so range.
My Baghira isn't up and running at the moment so that's the only comparison that I can make.
The usual route is from Scotts Valley to HWY 9 in Felton or Ben Lomond (through some back roads, where I grew up) then up to the point where HWY 9 meets HWY 236 then back.
Just for the fun I'd suggest a few corners before the OLD MTN STORE outside of Boulder Creek up to the stop sign that I described at the 236 / 9 intersection, then back down that part of the MTN.
OR! Some brand new tarmac from Empire Grade Rd. down to the coast by way of Pine Flat Rd., You should really enjoy that one! The singles really shine in those sections...
Best wishes,
OMC
