Newbie looking for info on the ISDT MZ

Firstly a Hello,
My names Dave, I live in the Kent in the UK.

I am an EX MZ rider, but the main reason for joining is that I would like to find an MZ ISDT or information on them.
It was my Dads favorite bike of all time, and I would love to find him one to restore or ride or failing that find some more information about it to help me on the search.
Anything you guys know would help me a lot.

Did the replica road bike that was sold have a more common model number or name?
I have heard of replicas being built, what were they built from?
Anyone know of an owner of one that would take a good offer for one in any condition?

Again any help or even ramblings about said model would help me out alot, I want to try and give my Dad his favorite bike of all time before he is forced to give up motorcycling.

I think the model you're looking for is called the 'ETS250/1 G5', more commonly known as the 'ISDT Replica'. These were sold thorough MZ dealers in the 70s, but are VERY rare.
Best place to start is the MZ Riders Club http://www.mzridersclub.com/ Anyone in the UK who's got one is likely to be a member. Good luck with finding one, I was very active in the MZRC at one time, and I only saw 2 or 3 ISDT bikes in 20 years membership!
