Mz 850

Hi came across a picture of an 850cc Mz it had a Yamaha trx/tdm 850 engine did it ever make production or was it a proto type........Vicar
If only one bike was enough..............

That would be the 'Kobra' prototype.
The story that went about was that MZ developed the bike, but didn't get an agreement to use the engine. Understandably, Yamaha didn't want to supply a potential competitor to their TRX 850, so MZ developed the 1000S instead.
