New Member + luggage

Postby skaman » Sat Jul 27, 2013 5:33 am

Hi everybody, I'm the new owner of a Skorpion Traveler 1998 bought with 3500 miles on the clock. I'm in the process of prepping it for a trip to Europe. I've just bought a Brembo caliper and master cylinder from a Mito, I should have looked at the photo more carefully it had three different types of bolt holding it together! Anyway I have a new seal set, pads and new bolts so it should all back together in a couple of days.
The question I have for any body who can help is regarding fixing points for a rear luggage rack I've bought, it is a Hepco Becker topbox with a mounting plate for a Moto Guzzi I intend to turn the plate into a rack and fix it to the Skorpion. What/where are the best fixing points on the the bike? It has the panniers and racks
And any other top tips appreciated.

Cheers everybody

Thanks Dave, I like your use of the typewriter case. Are the turn signals better?
I,ll be using the number plate fixing and I'll finder something further forward on the bike where the pannier rack fits, it just looks a bit convoluted going under the seat.

Cheers

its fastened to the grab bar /seat rail at the rear of the seat
the picture i had did not have the seat installed

and the turn signals were replaced
it sets on the rack where the sigs install

one of the past owners had some real tiny signals on it
and they were falling apart
the ktm duke sigs work ok
