Hello all,
Picked up a 2002 Baghira yesterday so thought I best join and introduce myself. Been riding bikes since I was 17 so for 30 yrs now. Many many bikes in the past but only my second MZ the first being a 301. Currently restoring a gsx750es that I owned back in mid 80s and which I found on ebay a couple of years ago. Sold my zrx1200 before buying the baghira, great bike very quick but a big of a wildebeest and not suited to country lanes type riding, so here we are. Would love to get another 2 stroke 250 or similar when I get some room back in the garage.

Your post reads like what I would write. I bought a 2003 Baghira on Tuesday. I still own my ZRX. Big difference is my residence. I live just outside of Atlanta, GA in the US. My background includes 38 years of observed trials. My biggest challenge is figuring out where to get parts. And fixing the problems caused by the ham fisted previous owners. The bike only has 6,500 miles but it took hours to get the seat off because all the bolts were screwed up. Yes - I ment bolts since they were used to attach the front of the seat to the tank. And the rear bolt was frozen in place which required me to cut the head off to get the seat off. The bolt that was suppose to be holding the rear of the tank in place was just floating in place, not screwed in. And someone really needs to introduce them to a torque wrench. I had to use a dead blow hammer to get several bolts loose! Step one is to replace the fluids and the tires. Set two is two get out and go exploring. I live by the motto: that if you don't care where you are then your never lost. Being a trials rider, I love how easy it is to ride the Baghira standing up although it is against the law in this state to run down the road with your ass off the seat.

Hi, Beaz, i am looking for a set of off road wheels for the baggy as i use to do a bit of greenlaning on an XR 400 and would love a potter on the baggy. I totally agree with the seat bolt under the mudguard, some animal has been at mine although i can still secure it. Not sure for how long though. Plus as it looks like a brass insert in the seat unit i am not sure what i can do to sort without removing the seat foam and cover.
I will put a pic of my bike in the photo gallery as the board attachment quota has been reached?
