WHO OWNS THIS FORUM?

Postby Wonky » Thu Sep 21, 2006 3:05 pm

Ok guys and girls. I have sent e-mails to site admin with no response. This forum has been recently under attack due to vulnerabilities in the forum structure. I am trying to help to protect this forum and add some extremely valuable support but am getting no response. Can anyone get a response for me and ask the MZ Riders admin to contact me urgently before we lose this forum to code-kids/bots? I am genuinely trying to help and am concerned about how long this forum will last. I'm sure you've all noticed the "Internal Server Errors" that keep sprouting their ugly heads recently. There are some script issues that need sorting! Please help me help you and this awesome forum.

Thankyou.

Don't worry i've got it covered now guys and girls. I have sent mails to site admin and am awaiting a reply. The forum has not got a daily automated backup running which is why you all lost so much information when the last bot attacked the forum. With an automated backup running your own pc will log onto the server and take a compressed backup of the data you wish to collect, then if anything attacks and manages to break through the encription you will always be able to remove the affected data and replace with a backup thats less than 24 hours old, you might lose a few posts but not as much as you have lost recently. That was a major attack and the contact with admin here is obviously an issue that needs addressing. Fingers crossed he will contact me soon and i can get this sorted for the future.
