New to the Forum

Postby Lamaha » Sun May 18, 2008 12:41 pm

Hello,
I am Simon and as the title suggests, new to the Forum.
I am from the West Sussex Coast and a member of the MZ Riders Club, whenever i can i attend the very friendly meets and camps in the South Coast and Boxhill sections.
I have a TS 250 Supa 5 that was bought as a winter hack but soon fell for it.
I also have another that started out as a donor for spares, but is slowly turning into bike in its own right, the plan is to turn it into a Cafe Racer style bike, but more on that later.
I ride bikes to be different and the bike i choose to be different on is the MZ.
My every day bike is an XT660, but i get fewer smiles for myself and other bikers on this.
I love the stick and the banter associated with riding an MZ, but have no time for bike snobbery.
Hope to attend the Red Star rally this year and if anybody wants to ride up with me, your more than welcome.
I have a site in facebook as well under the title of "Bikes are for life not just for Sunday" so give it a look.
Well thats it done, my first entry.
Cheers for a good forum,
Simon.

Hi Simon... I like being different too with my Baggi, had a great reaction from a local group I ride with, mostly on gixers/ninjas etc.
Surprised a few too... even though I'm not the best of riders :-D

Hi Simon, good to see a fellow MZRC member on here! I don't actively go to meetings, but I'm based in St Albans, Herts - I've been promising myself a run down to a Boxhill meeting sometime, perhaps we could coincide?? I'm running a slightly tatty green Skorpion Traveller at the minute but am restoring some Saxon 2-smokes (see blog link in signature) had a Baggy once as well.

Head over to the "Vintage Bikes" board for 2-smoke discussions... See you there!

Welcome welcome. :smt006
