Hi all new to Mz's - just purchased es250/2

Hi there ,

I'm new to Mz's (although I did have an s51 Simson that we rode from jog-le a few years back) but have been tinkering with old bikes for about 15 years.

I've just purchased a very rough es250/2 and will be attempting to get it running over the next couple of months so expect some silly questions, lots of wanted posts and a project thread soon.

I've given it a good look over today and other than the coil it seems mostly there (apart from the bits that have rusted away) the wiring is a mess so I'll be working on that first with the aim of getting a spark.

So before I buy off eBay any one got a stash of used parts they want to sell or at least a coil :-D ?

Pictures to follow ...

Coil and battery now purchased I'm sure I'll need a lot more before it runs but it would be nice to see a spark with those fitted and wiring tidied up....

Looks like a fairly "easy" project compared to some I've tackled. Have fun!

Thanks , I've had worse bikes ,looks mostly complete , best way to learn in my experience is to get a rough one and rebuild.

Hopefully I won't run in to too many problems.
