MZ 1000SF

I was in the right place at the right time and not only got to see/sit on the new SF model, but to talk with the rep a bit. While I just sold my Skorpion recently, I am considering a "streetfighter" to replace my KTM
Duke II as it's been unreliable. This bike is definitely on my short list!
I loved it, the orange is great, but you must know I like the Audi TT orange, so take that for what its worth. It felt pretty good for my height, over six feet, with adequate legroom. I love twins, and the idea of two four inch pistons and fuel injection without the v problems is very attractive to me. I believe the rep said it was the only one in the country, and he was getting miles on it to prepare for the EPA nonsense, but when he started it and rode away, I had shivers, thinking of the Triumphs I was able to ride back in the seventies. All told, it looks better in person than the pictures I've found on-line, so it should get positive press soon.
When I grow up, I'll know who/what I really am,
until then...

I'm glad you liked it--the rep you are referring to was probably the General Manager of MZ North America, John Stoddart.

I worked at the Laguna Seca MotoGP booth with John, and I am happy to report that we met and talked with a BUNCH of MZ owners and also a whole lot of people who didn't yet know the company but loved the new bikes.

I am also quite pleased to report that, without fail, every owner of an MZ (or friend of an owner) said that they LOVED their MZ. I was so happy to hear the positive feedback.

We hope to talk to more of you in the future at upcoming races or other motorcycle events.

Thanks for your support,

John Casimir
