Hi All,

I know it's been mentioned in a couple of other threads, but there will be a MZ club stand with circa 15 bikes.
My 1000s will be on and a couple of others. (John Axford could have sold his 1000sf several times over such was the interest at last Octobers event) As MZRUS has said there is a 1000s for sale in the auction. It would be just great to see Ged there too when his electrical problem is solved?
Anybody have any ideas for summer meet ups/runs? I intend going to Gairloch for the MZ weekend May 2/3/4. (What a place!) Also I would like to go down to Devon stop in a local B&B and meet up with Boilermaker and perhaps pop into Grahams along the way.

Cheers J2T

Hi Ged,

Will get some photos. S and SF on the stand. Couple of potential buyers looking for bikes. Didn't see anybody else with 1000.
MZs new owners to start building 125s again before Xmas. 250 in the pipeline. Rights to manufacture 1000s may move to a third party company.
Cheers J2T

Hi Ged,
News of the future of the 1000 range was a bit vague, but the new owners were apparantly talking to another company that might take it on. Thats all that was said. The contact buys two stroke spares direct from the factory and talks to them every week.
At one stage there was a company that was looking for a chassis to put a new rotary engine in!
Norton Motors of Rugeley (financed by German Joe Seiffert? used to fit MZ 1000 forks and wheels to uprate customers Norton Commander rotaries. That business is up for sale since Richard Negus (formerly of BSA/Triumph/Norton) retired in Feb 09.
(that business is different to the new Norton set up at Donington that are entering a new rotary Norton for the 2009 TT to be ridden by Michael Dunlop) Cheers J2T
