Wanted: swingarm rubber protector.

Postby skyguy » Tue Jun 05, 2007 12:41 pm

Hi all, I need the rubber swing arm protector that stops the chain from slapping the swing arm.

It came unglued and got sucked up behind the front sprocket. Destroyed the output shaft seal.........................

Another item that I am having some difficulty finding is the output shaft seal. Does anyone have a good source for metric seals? Seems this one is an odd size.

HI,
I can send you one. They are easily had directly from th factory. I have my own stock or 4-5 on the shelf.
I will look if I have the seal but can get it over the counter in town.

Skyguy.

I needed a swingarm rubber while there was no UK parts supplier recently. I made one out of a bicycle inner tube and it's still working fine. 1000 miles. I must get a proper one at some point for the sake of tidiness.

Thanks for reminding me.

The output shaft seal is Yamaha part no. 93102-25218-00. You can have your local Yamaha dealer order it (ouch!), or you could order it from an online vendor, like Mr. Cycles, which, BTW, has a great site with the fiche for the 1995 XT600 here:

http://www.mrcycles.com/fiche_section_detail.asp?category=Motorcycles&make=Yamaha&year=1995&fveh=661

BTW, we are talking about a Baggie here, right?
