Ignition barrel security bolts ?

Ran into small problem removing ignition barrel on my mastiff, the gold coloured security bolts next to philips screw apear to have a plug in them any ideas to get them out ,not encountered this type before .Having to remove because i dont have a key been misplaced over the years.

their some type of security bolt - I use a small chisel/old screwdriver (gasp) and hammer to get them to turn counterclockwise to remove - the two sets I did moved easily.
