Head Bolt Torque

G'day there
What is the correct head bolt torque for a ES250/2
The book says 5 KG-M which I work out to be about 36 F-lb
Working on this I snapped a head stud
Some of my other bikes come in at 16-17 f-lb
Though my waterbottle is 29 f-lb
This has probably been asked before or sorted out, I can't find it
Thanks in advance, only taken two years to get back to the bike

Was the bolt wet or dry?

If I recall I think dry, sometimes I put a bit of oil

There can be quite a difference between them both. Oily nut and bolt faces will take higher torque before the wrench clicks leading to the bolt stretching and potentially shearing

I know three of the four tightened, and the other snapped
I was wondering if this is the correct torque or I worked it out wrong or just shit happens

That is really bad!
I came across that one by chance and just assumed it would be right without even thinking about it.
