Silver Star Classic with the basic (low tune) 500 Rotax engine;
A coulple of queries as this is a new bike to me......
1) Anyone know whats the best oil to use? I have Silkolene Super 4 20w50 (Semi Synthetic) in her right now but the oil warning light is on at anything less than 2500 rpm (so either the oil is too thin or I have a faulty pressure switch). I know the engine is all good.
2) Has anyone got a simple fix for the sidestand, its self retracting and on a hair trigger. I think it will be improved if the spring is mounted a little differently. Has anyone done this?
3) What tyres work best?

Hi,new member myself. I dont have an mz but do have a Harris g80 Matchless with a similar motor.

20/50 is fine. Mineral oil seems better suited to the engine than synthetic.

Re the oil light,quite likely to be the switch.
