Does anyone know where I could get some softer or progressive rear springs for a Country 500. Mine are just a little stiffer than i prefer.....has anyone done this and know of a source for different springs with different rates?

Thanx, that's just what i was looking for......also i noticed that my stock bilstein shocks have a plastic ring between two of the coils about a quarter of the way down from the top of the springs. I was wondering if this could be used for some kind of adjustment or what it's for exactly?

Ok, I didn't realize that i had 2-piece springs on the Bilsteins.
The plastic ring looks to be the integrator from one spring to another.....i may just try to get a custom spring(s) made.......found a site that does this....

Does anybody know who made the rear stock springs for the Country 500 that go over the bilsteins? I wonder if i could find the stock springs but with a lighter spring rate.....i only weigh about 130 lbs.......

It says in the manual that the rear springs on the Country 500 can be adjusted but does anybody know how to do this?

Bilstein made the springs as well as the dampers. Searched pretty thoroughly for softer springs to no avail. No adjustment on the Country units, only on the Tour. I thought mine were way too stiff as well and planned to buy Hagon replacement rear units and Wirth fork springs.

Actually it looks like the Country rear shocks are slightly adjustable. There are different notches that you can set the top ring on. I'm not sure how to change this but my shocks on the wrecked bike are set to the top notch which would be the softest or less pre-load. I think i will just switch them with the current ones on my bike as the are set lower......

I was able to adjust my shocks to the uppermost setting (softest) with the shocks still on the bike. All i did was compress the springs halfway down by levering a coil with a screwdriver against the bottom of the shock body and then sliding the metal ring/stopper at the top (this took two people but could be done with a spring compressor). At this point you can pry the inner circlip out of whatever adjustment groove it's in and then slide it up or down to the next level....no special tools required........haven't tested out the new setting yet though-if it's still too stiff, i'll have to go for some hagon shocks.....
