If I shut the engine off with the compression release like everyone recommends, sometimes it sticks when I try to restart, it's not the cable sticking, what's up with that?

yeah its common to all rotax engines,
just reach down and flick it foward,
it also handy as an extra security device :D

i tryed to get it to pop back but couldnt manage it,
you might be able to put another turn on the spring to help,
or add a new one from one of the bolts to the arm,

had the problem also but never played with it to see why
as bike is stored not riding it now for a while
keeping 3 bikes on the road gets expensive

try keeping 5 on the road, plus a couple of dirt bikes,
the registration costs for the road bikes is a killer here in new zealand
($500 a year, which is soon to go upto over $800) yey

ill pull off the de-comp lever today, and have a play, ill post some pics of my findings :D

I was just adjusting my valves and realised that the reason the compression release "sticks" is really just because the lever is being pulled too far up (farther than it needs to). There isn't any adjustment in the cable but there are slots in the bracket that bolts to the head so you can adjust it that way.
