What's this thing the in exhaust?

Posted: Sun Jul 30, 2023 7:05 pmSo I pulled the muffler off to get some space to remove the center stand. I saw this thing stuck in the end of the header. Sees like it would be awfully restrictive. Is it supposed to be there? Any downsides to removing it?
