new black panther price

can someone tell me what a new black panther is running I dealer is quoting me 6995.00 does this sound right. I think I would rather travel and buy a used 2001-2002 for 4000 what do you all think?

thats about 700 below the list price on http://www.motorradna.com
looks like the old price for baggies before the euro did a number on the $..
for a brand new bike that sound about right.
with used you dont get the 2 year warranty, you dont really know where the bike 'has been' what happened to it etc.
but if youre good mechanically with motorcycles; dont need the warranty and can evaluate a used bike well, then used sounds like a good deal.
