MZ/MuZ Riders

BSA Regal is always highly recommended here, by USA guys as well as British, but after getting my parcel from them last night, I was so impressed that I wanted to praise them out loud.

Phil responds to email enquiries the same day - not several days or a week or two later after you've sent them the same message several times. He tells you which parts he's got in stock and how long it'll take to get the others. I got him to get me a Yamaha choke part (instead of bothering to order it from a local dealer) and he gave me the price and lead time from the Yamaha distributor right away.

Parcel Force to South Africa 16 pounds. Phil let me know as soon as it was sent and gave me the tracking number. That was Wednesday. Yesterday morning (Monday) I checked the Parcel Force website and it showed that the parcel had left the UK on Friday. So I thought ok, maybe I'll get it tomorrow (Tuesday), but around 11am the postman brought it to my office.

Then last night I opened the parcel and I was so impressed with the way it was packaged. Heavy plastic heat-sealed bags, one within the other, and the inner bag containing separate bags for each part. Even individually sealed each gasket and jet within those bags. And the part numbers written on each bag.

Absolutely unequalled service. You just don't get any better.

as well as my mz parts

not all parts genuine OEM but good service. online catalog and ordering, but sometimes frustrating figuring out what fits what. i got my R100GS parts there.

there's a process, though, for in the USA. go to http://www.maxbmwmotorcycles.com for the online parts fiche, then if you don't like the prices, take the part numbers to http://www.bmwbobs.com/home.html (i think it's them, but it's some 3-step process, i can't remember.)

mine are all before 1972 so getting harder to find and big$$$$$
i have parts books on them but still a pain

Same here, they are 35 miles from me, far to far to go in person Not that I need to with their level of service.

Yes, BSA Regal should be the "Model" for other distributors.... Phil's level of service is truely outstanding....Top notch service from beginning to end.
I ordered a seat cowl and an air filter but had to wait on the cowl from Germany, but Phil kept me posted during the whole time (a few months) as to what the deal was (MZ). He kept me informed the whole way through and when he fianlly got it he e-mailed me as to when he would ship it and when I should have it. And I got my Airmail package right on time! That kind of service in this day and age is "Priceless".......Agree?

Well, keep it if you like it, if it's worth it to you. It's the ones they don't make anymore that keep their value, at least.

Unbelievable, just placed an order with BSA Regal for the following 125 SM parts.
Workshop manual, Rear tail piece, front brake lever, front fork tube (x2), Front fork oil and dust seal (x2), Starter clutch, cover gasket and neutral light switch.
ALL IN STOCK Amazing.

BTW its worth doing this bike up, its a 2001 model, with 12,000kms and I paid £200 for it

from what i have seen from my rt125 there worth fixing

i think one of these bikes may go well over 50,000 miles
if oil changed regular and they are not beat to death
by the user

the starter freewheel is only major problem i have had .....

i did wheel bearings at 12500 miles because i did not like the sound of the
oem ones when doing the tire balance

and the rear brake switch is a regular blow out item 3 times on mine

ps nut on crank is backward thread

lay the bike down on side when you take off the right engine cover
so you do not loose the oil perssure spring and check ball
just behind the oil filter area (picture on request)

I was just about to say since when do you have a 125? damn.

Are we talking about the same BSA Regal? I tried to contact them for a carb gasket set for my Baghira (all I needed was the float needle and bowl gaskes) and nuthin'. Just a short reply saying I'm screwed (but they did tell me I'm screwed rather quickly). In the States I found some great service from Gayland @ Bikeworx (Bikeworx.com). Just my two cents... Do they have dust seals for our front forks? I'll try them again if the have them.
