Fuel pump relay

I need to replace the fuel pump relay on my 2001 Traveller. The original is Bosch 0332207310 and the alternative suggested is Bosch 0332201107. The specifications are the same except for the protection rating. The original is IP20 and the alternative is IP5K4.
Is it safe/OK to use the alternative?

I have no idea if that relay really is a suitable/safe replacement, but if it fits, and is suggested as the replacement, I'd go for it. Maybe put a fuse in series? What else are you going to do with the great weather we'll be having...
Maybe you'll soon get a better reply from someone with experience in this matter.

Get rid of the fuel pump altogether it`s not needed.

As long as the carb is below the level in the tank, engines with a carburettor should not normally need a fuel pump. But the factory designed the bike with a fuel pump, so that raises the question: Why does this bike have a fuel pump?
Edit:
The 1988 Yamaha XT600 Ténéré already had a fuel pump, but that was because parts of the rather big tank were below the level of the carb. This is not the case for the Traveller - or is it? Could there be any other reason, like fuel starvation under certain circumstances?

I asked the same question on the German forum, and the consensus is that the fuel pump is not required.
The only sensible reason I heard for Why this pump is in the Skorpions: that's is how MZ got the engine from Yamaha. Where indeed some models have a big & low tank.
Hence breakwellmz is right, as leaving it in will only increase the risk on problems.
