OK, I'm addicted to this sight! Been looking through previous forums and noticed that the height reduced version doesn't have adj. forks and reg. version does? If so I have a new concern. Wondering just how much the dealer I'm getting my BP from knows about these bikes. As I was looking the bike over they mentioned the fact that it came in lower version. When I asked what version my bike was they said reg. but I remember not seeing any adj. on the forks! I sat on the bike (I admit I know very little about MZ) and it seemed the size of many supermoto bikes w/altered susp. not like a typical dual sport height of say a DRZ/KLX/XRL. Anyway now I'm wondering what I'm really getting. If they can't even figure out how to start it, do they even know the difference between reg.height-reduced height?!!!!!!! :(

Standard ht. version will have blue knobs, 1 on each of the fork tubes. One controls the compression and the other sets rebound dampning. I am not sure if reduced ht. has the adjustable rear shock but it will be a dial on the left side just behind the fuel valve. If the dealer doesn't know how to start it be aware that the owners manual clearly states NOT to twist the throttle when starting! It could cause a fire in the airbox/filter... b e c a r e f u l ! The choke is a 2 stage type... it is on the left hand grip, set it all the way ON when cold, turn the key on, hit the starter. After 10 seconds or so once started you can drop the choke back down to the middle setting for 20 seconds then close it... but read the manual for details. Best of luck!

reduced height also has different steering geometry. I have ridden both, and the HR (Height reduced) handles better on the street. the forks work well, I dont feel the adjustability is much of an issue.

Yup what he (8) said,..... same with Phlat, MZ's never need throttle when starting especially cold.... :-D
