Gel battery for RT125-Anyone tried fitting one?

Postby djsbriscoe » Sat Oct 22, 2011 6:25 am

The connecting post on my current 12v 9Ah battery has disintegrated so I have to buy a new battery. Has anyone bought a new battery recently and if so where from (in the UK). Has anyone found a Gel battery that would fit? I will post the current battery size later.

Thanks.

David.

i moved wires over battery and shoved in a yb14l-a2
measure before buying battery may be different than mine

i think it was same as was on my saxon tour
had to clear wires from top of battery area to get it to fit and
battery has to be removed to check water levels

also cover has to be cut away to let cover fit back in place
but does not show when seat is in place
i think there is a gel battery the same size
dave
it has been starting good and head lamp is bright now not a yellow color

the one steve fit seems to be about the same as my wet cell
make sure the drain is in the correct place if its a wet cell
and the plus/minus posts are where they should be as
new big wires made of copper are very expensive any more
