Greetings Earthlings! :-D

saw some posts in a german MZ forum about installing a kick starter for the 125 motor...but babelfish suck...can't make out what they were saying...

the idea is quite interesting to me...

any german 125 owner care to elaborate more on this??

thanks!

my parts book does not show any parts or part numbers to do this
even though it may have been planed when engine designed

may have been cheaper to make it electric

Damn, I had just managed to discover the importance of a kickstarter the hard way 2 weeks ago.

My starter broke down.. (something concerning the freewheel starter and drum.. or something like that). On the way to work and I ran out of gas. After a fill up, the bugger just won't start. I had to find a runway with a long steep gradient to get the momentum to jumpstart the bike 'cause pushing (even with 3 guys) proved fruitless.

That was when I really wish MZ could provide the kickstarter

i have been in side mine twice for the freewheel thing
and the way things are made i think the kicker would die also
when the freewheel craps just from looking at whats in there
and what you would have to be added to make a kick work
:(

yeah!!! i need a kick start kits too coz now i ride my bike once a month!!!! i think the last i ride now was october.... it was way back and the battery seems to be flat!!! yesterday i push start the bike by my own... its not hard to pushstart by ownself... well u need to push ur bike which is not riding on it.... just push as fast as u can then engage 2nd gear and after started just pull back the clucth or not u will be history.... well try with ur own insticts....

hey! welcome back!

actually, a flat battery doesn't worry me much...a spoilt starter clutch does...

plus i think it's an advantage to have both...

just my 2 cents worth... :D
