HI GUYS,
First of all thanks Dave for all the help so far. I ve really enjoyed my little rt so far(owned for 2months now)
Evrything works pretty well so far but my rear brake was becoming really weak, so i ve checked it out with a garage and they said it was the mastr cyl that was done for. Ok so i ordered a new compatible one for dirtbikes similar bore size. Fitted and bled fluids etc..But still no reresponse from brake caliper.
Then i took apart caliper and cleaned pistons, changed the seals and lubed it all with red rub grease.
Bled system again, this time the calipers worked but only very weak brake power.
So lastly i look at the brake disc and there about 3mm thickness left on it. the mark stamped on it says min 3.5mm, do you think that s where i need to look next?
I asked graham mz dealer for quote £132($200) way too much...
Question is there another bike which has a compatible disc? Or do i look at another source of the problem?

i had a similar problem found that the pucks were sticking in the rear brake caliper

klr650 rear looks to be the same and some kymco scooters use same rear

royal enfield front uses same ebc pad numbers as sm sx and fun x

mine has never been a beast at locking up the rear wheel
even with hh pads it never has locked the rear wheel

you need to use lots of front brake with it

i think it was set up with a weak rear brake
1 to get riders to learn to use the front brake
if its like mine you can stop with it but not in a hurry do use the front also
dave

as for disk price these are common to this bike i have never found an other bike they fit
i am not surprised at the price

I see what you mean by learner bike. But i cant really stop with rear only. And i m used to always prefer only the front last on my previous bike. I like a smooth stop. :D
As for the disc, can i use the kawasaki kl disc?

Hi Dave,
I decided to buy a set of extra thick rear pads to make up for the thinking disc. They are compatible KYOTO semi metal S1085a.
Works really well so far.
