UPDATE.

Electronic ignition seems to be working. I temporarily rigged it up to do some diagnosing.. and.. the bike started right up. Coincidence? Case in point.

Possibly your ignition needs something above +/-13.2V to work?

Don't know, I never had one of those hall systems...

When the battery has run down to 10v running, owing to the battery not being charged at all, it has still run, but more- gutless than usual. When the bike starts missing on idle, that is the time you have to keep the revs at like 4k to stop it from stalling..

Thanks Puffs. Lesson learnt- check the stupid /simple things first- I always break that rule!! The battery has run down likely 15 times though, so just waiting for it to fail completely at some point soon
