MZ ts125, when idling tickover is fine on left lock or bars straight, turn full lock to the right and it increases speed. The throttle cable is good and has no kinks, its not jamming anywhere and the carb slide is seated properly, carb top tightened down correctly, no idea whats causing it !!! :D

AFAIK they all do that. Its because the old fashioned carb doesn't have an airslide screw. Rerouting the cable might improve it but won't eliminate it altogether. Probably best to set idle at right lock and remember to set the bars that way at traffic lights.

I've had this on a few MZ's.. And they were routed correctly..

My resolution for the most part has been to lubricate the cable with soem nice lube, or slick oil, but also to check tension on the cable when the bar is pulled right.. I've also adjusted the cable so that it has slack when the bar is turned right. It does mean that the grip may have a bit too much slack in the neutral position- but as well as the above it has stopped my problem (on 3x bikes ....). They always did it turning right.

Took the bar end mirror off, slackened throttle and adjusted to best idle on full right lock, it now ticks over just slightly fast on right lock but acceptable, perfect straight ahead and just to say idling on full left, when it stops chucking it down i will go for a ride and see what it`s like when it`s hot.
