Question - MZ301 Tyres

So my MZ301 project is now a big piles of bits - hurrah!
I had a look at the wheels today as they're a bit corroded and I need to repaint them.
The wheels are the original Gremica cast alloy jobs (16" rear and 18" front).
Can someone please confirm the tyre sizes I should use?
Also, should they be tubeless or do they need inner tubes please?
thanks
stuart

The sizes quoted by MZ are as follows,
Front 2.75 x 18R or 90/90-18S
Rear 3.25 x 16R or 110/80-16S
A lot of people used to go up to 3.00 x 18 and 3.50 x 16. From memory the 110/80-16 is fairly difficult to get hold of. I have just bought 2.75 x 18 and 110/90-16 in Michelin M45 from M & P for a fairly decent price. I had these tyres on my '96 Kanuni 251 a few years back and found them a decent tyre. I regretted getting cheapo replacements which were more like teflon than rubber!

i put tubes in it
the story i got was there alloy but rim lip edge is for tube tires

Not many 110/80-16 over here in the UK either, and they all seem to be for the front. Imperial sizes seem to be the only realistic choice. One word of warning don't put a metric size on the front, with an imperial size on the rear, as it will mess the handling up. Had this problem on a BMW R65, when I bought it some years ago ( 90/90 front 4.00 rear). Swapped to a part worn 3.25 on the front, to a vast improvement.
