G'day there
Finally getting some work done
I have a few questions, but will post them separate
First I have two different heads for my '71 ES
One looks correct but does not bolt down correctly, possible cylinder studs are correct for other head
I will call what I think is the correct head "head 1" the other head "head 2"
I would like to know which is correct, I am sure that with a bit of effort I can use either

What I call Head 2 looks like it could be ETZ

An ES250/2 head has vertical fins, an ETZ has horizontal fins

OK I have had a look at a few pictures and it looks like one head is from a TS 250
It is marked MM250/3 E=10
The head I want to use is marked MM250/2 E=10
I think that the cylinder must match the TS head
If I machine the ES head flat, It has some raised sections
Can use it?
Would there be any issue?
By the way my engine number is 4706798

The ES250/2 engine was the MM250/2, and the TS250 was MM250/3 ( and the TS250/1 MM250/4)

I'm not sure why it would need machining
