MZ/MuZ Riders

Hi, I'm a newbie here, with quite a history of MZ-ery over the past 35 years of riding (two TS150s, one Super Five, and an ETZ 250 to date)

I'm after some guidance on who still has the engineering expertise to properly re-assemble a late '70s TS150 motor.
I'm totally at home with anything 'horizontally split' but I've had no end of trouble assembling my TS150 motor after a full re-furb.
There seems to be conflicting guidance on gearbox shimming etc, and I also struggle with simply getting the cases to come together with everything properly placed / centred.

I'm quite happy to pay for any proven expert to do the job

I'm not any sort of a rush

Don't put too much stock in the Haynes manuals.

Seek out the German manuals they have the proper assembly techniques.

If they say use heat they're not kidding do not try to shortcut that. Make up a bunch of heat sinks and heat tools to heat in a race is outside of races.

buy some frozen peas so you can chill shafts that have to go through it is bearing races.

Borrow or buy depth micrometer so you will not put your countershaft in a bind. If the bike was running when you took it apart more than likely the shit's that you have on hand will still be working.

Heat gun or, VERY discrete use of burnzomatic torch is needed. So is an oven !

The Germans were very thoughtful and exacting in these designs. Any attempt to
shortcut with a hammer is going to get you scrap.

Start with a tool room machinist or better to assemble one of these jewels.
