MZ/MuZ Riders

I am soon buying a 2002 regular MZ Moskito/ not SX/RX/or RXT.
My headlight is the Wide headlight that is mounted up high on the handlbars.
My friend has same scoot and said the light is very dim. I said that is a shame since the standard moskito headlight is much wider/bigger than regular Honda or yamaha 50cc scooters.
Can anybody advise me if a brighter/halogen or HIS bulb will work inside this headlight???
Can it be modified to be brighter/stronger with more light????

that has a pile of parts in his shed
