That wasn't overloaded... most of the bulk there is a sleeping bag. All together I think all of the camping gear, food and tools etc. weighed about 60 lbs. Just looks like alot from the back.

I rode with three other bikes, a BMW 1200 GS, a Lifan 200, and a Lifan 150 battle scooter. At no point in the trail ride did I wish for anything more. I did want a little more power on the highway. But i was still cruising at 50-60 mph! All total I rode 1130+ miles of roads and trails over the 3 1/2 day period. No problems at all. As a matter of fact the bike broke in more during the trip and was even faster on the road home than on the way up. I even hit 70 mph at one point (flat road while drafting another bike).

I could see that ur bike got somekinda digital meter display (coz it looks a bit different from the stock!) can u post a pic of that thing and where to grab those kinda stuff ?

It is a Trail Tech Vapor. Works great. Just order the universal model with the zip tie sensor for the larger fork diameter. It also senses water temp and you have to make sure you tell them to send the sensor for a water cooled engine. You will have to cut one of the cooling hoses to install it. It's pretty easy to do just make you plan on changing your coolant when you install it.

Order part number 75-701. And tell them you need the water temp sensor also. It costs another $20 or so...

I didn't like their customer service and it took them way to long to send my stuff... But I am very happy with the product itself.

may i point out that this bike was at first a 125cc MZ FUN-X
and was made in to a dualsport SX by adding aftermarket parts
so the trail tech speedo was needed

the handguards and front light ..what brand and where did you get them?
have a friend with a 4cycle yamaha that wants to dual sport his and
needs to do it cheap... but i can not find what i did with the cannondale stuff
i had ...things seem to dissapear here into the abiss of a 50 year collection of motorcycle parts
and you know it's here but WHERE!

its probely under the piles of ham radio gear

when i retire listing all the stuff on ebay will become a full time job
for at least 2 or 3 years

Well, they are not cheap. I decided to go ahead and get the handguards I wanted because I can use them on my next bike... they are Cycra probends and they are about $100. I also got some Tusk aluminum handlebars on closeout for $15 (plus 5$ shipping) from Rocky Mountain. The stock steel handlebars will not fit with ANY handguard brands! I made my own mounting bracket for the Vapor and swithces...

The front light is a UFO with built in turn signals ($89). The rear light assembly with built in signals is also UFO ($75). I made my own wire harnesses etc.

the mz looks good the faring is a bit small but gets it done

now i see why i have not been lookin at bmw of late that bmw
pictured has a fairly new english word that was invented just for it

Nice job indeed.
Was looking at the Vapor for my brand new MZ125SX, since the standard instruments look really cheapo.
On the other hand they will probably get the job done, and I'll mount a Garmin GPS anyway. So apart from the tachometer and the techie-factor (which I'll compensate with the Garmin), there will not be much to miss..

on the GPS units make some kind of sun shade so they can be covered
from very strong light on a bright day

i lost a gps and a ft470 ham radio's lcd screen one hot day
gps was replaced on warrenty and the radio took about 5 hours of bench time
ugh lucky i had a dead one to scrap for parts but it was a pain but save a$400usd radio and
i am still using it but not in hot direct sun light

Hey Evan, the Vapour speedo does it come with a bracket high enough so you can mount it on the 125 or you had to make one yourself ? And regarding the shade, how can u install something which can limit sun rays on the LCD screen ? I am interested in the vapour but fist I have to know about how to install one
