If it works you should find a picture of my Baggie with its new back end. I have dumped the long plastic fender and made a short one from Aluminium and added a small LED instead of the ugly original. Hope the pic loads asI'm a bit of a technophobe..

Sunday run is a no because I have to have lunch in Bordon Officers mess followed by some sort of concert ( Don't ask why , it goes with the job!!!)
Bring the bikes down to Broxhead common on the ride out so that I can watch them go past and enjoy at least one part of my Sunday off.......( All the RMP and MDP will be looking after the security at the show . Not that I would condone misuse of Military land....)
But definitely going to be there for the 18th . Guaranteed free pass from her in doors as she's off to see Donny Osmond at Romsey :oops:

At least its one thing that she definitely won't ask me to go along with............

Couldn't resist after yesterday.. I have just ordered a new exhaust from the Carbon Can Co in Blackpool. An oval stainless steel system, road legal with all BS stamps etc complete with linkpipe for £225 all in ( plus delivery £7.50 in UK).The guy I spoke to Roy used to have a Baggy and he reckons their exhaust will increase power and mid range as well as save tons of weight... here is another modified back end done by cutting the subframe and mounting an led light that also does the brake light on a aluminium plate that also holds the number plate and the indicaters

Altough Gedge's modification looks good bry_d's mod looks a little better. How did you mount this lot mate. Is it just a cut down original mudgaurd or have you used something else.

Keith, I have just ordered plastic replacement for mine as the ally one I made is already cracking up.. I have ordered one made by UFO which cost £22. It should be here soon , so mine will probably modded again real soon.. If it looks okay I will post a pic. PS This one does look good , but technically it still needs to have a reflector else it won't get an MOT ( no big deal I know)

Forgot to add.. exhaust arrived this afternoon. Thats an awesome 1 day service.. Just going to get it out the box , and maybe tomorrow night it will be on. Pics to follow...

the whole bit that holds the plate, light and the indicators is some aluminium sheet thats bent and folded to the right shape and fixed to the two allen screws that hold the original grab rails at the back lus the sub frame is cut back a bit . i'll take a few close up pics to show how its done . its a good mod as it removes that massive bit of plastic that was there before

the part that was removed from the subframe was the metal loop that supports the large plastic mudguard and it was removed as the new plate was not big enough to cover it up

What do you think of your exhaust can. I brought the Future version and it not than good. To quite and maybe even less engine power.

the exhaust is fine and plenty loud gives a nice smooth power delivery and it even has one of those decibel killers that bolts into the end if you want to quieten it down a bit

Finally fitted the new exhaust today. Just to make an easy job hard I manged to snap the securing clamp bolt...just don't know my own strength :shock:

Ive tried it out now and it is so much better. Sounds great , lots more mid range and on the flat it shot up to 100 without any problem, lifts the front wheel in first without clutching up or shifting the load...To be honest to look at it it sits a bit low for my tastes , but thats because I had the street legal can which needs to be a bit longer. I think I know how to get it shifted up but that will take some time to organise, so meantime I shall just enjoy the new performance......
