Rear suspension set up

Postby keithcross » Sun Feb 25, 2007 3:22 pm

My 17 year old son has a 125 SM and is having prblems with the rear suspension. I think it needs a bit more preload.
He weights 15½ stone, 95.25Kgs or 210 pounds.
Any ideas?

Keith

FWIW, mine's pretty much cranked up all the way (185 lbs w/o gear). I'll double-check that tomorrow. It was set up that way by a suspension specialist at the last trackday I went to.

Following that, Wilbers makes a rear shock assembly (I think the PN is 630-603-00), but that's probably in the ballpark of $600. Whatever the cost, it's more than I'm willing to spend :(
Relax. You'll live longer.

If your shock has been adjusted, could you measure the amount of thread showing please.
