To be frank,...it's very hard to detect if thats d situation,..probably d previous owner knows it & he didn't share with u.
So far i haven't encounter any MZ riders with these issues(those so far i come across).....

btw...how long u own d bike?....is these issues appear oly now..how frequent it "die-off",...how long does it need to be re-start again,...does ur engine creating a very loud noise,...when u let d engine idle, wil it die off?

Since u also didn't understand ths bike well,...d oly stuff u can do is to "catching" it slowly one by one item...like to start it up with d plug cabling,...the plug coil,...d wiring systems,...ignition system,....the CDI..& many more. Therefore more time & $$$ required to resolve d issue.

[color=#FFBFFF]To share with u,...mine previously were hard to start(like cranking it at least 10 to 15 second)...i change d battery(cos it oredy 1 yrs 2mth & can't charge fully),...service & change d carbon of starter coil,...i even relocate the existing rectifier location from below the air-box to fix it below the seat now & even running an earthing to the chassis cos MZ originally don't hv it....Even my regular visit mechanic,he also didn't ntice MZ recitfier were place below d air-box & without earthing connections...I even made a call to MZ Shah Alam to clarify these matter & he confirm it.[/color]

You can contact me if u think u wanna talk about these matter, but no promise i can settle it :- 012-2138227(kim)

how long u own d bike?....2 weeks
is these issues appear oly now..how frequent it "die-off"...... quite offen
how long does it need to be re-start again....... 2-3 times
does ur engine creating a very loud noise....... no
when u let d engine idle, wil it die off?.......yes.. the timing also not stable sometimes hi, sometimes low.... even when u set the timing it will still do the sam thing....

i had already :
service carb...
new spark plug...
new oil.....
new CDI.....

It seems ur bike might have these possibilities (just my own assumption & discussion with a expirient biker)...

> Die-off quite often,...[suspecting of valve leaking ]
> Restart 2>3 times.....[due to valve leaking, gas were flow improperly]
> Timing not stable.....[due to d above factors,...fuel supply not burning effeciently]

OTHER POSSIBILITIES:-~could be the timing chain & chain tensioner also, may be the previous owner didn't change when it
reach to the service & change period...kindly check the tripmeter & open up the head cover to
at it...
~have u heard a very loud loose chain noise when u start d engine....if ur unser is yes, probably the
problem that ,the timing chain.

Did u expirience something like :-

- Loss of power when u travelling after 20km of more espeacially travelling fast or hi-speed...like engine not able to deliver it's power & need to stop for a while?
- Notice any change of colour in emission (exhaust gas)

BTW,..how much uv spend 4d CDI,...is it used or new ones....

Will find out more clues & wil let u know later.

Hi everybody!
i just bought this bike last December 2007, brand new currently mileage about 7000km. im from kota tinggi, johor. Is there anybody from JB or Pasir Gudang or Kota Tinggi? I wanna know where i can get spare parts and accessories for this bike on Johor. Even the shop that sells this bike dont keep spare part for it.

Also, i wanna share few problems i faced with this bike;
1) Left Fork leaking - the 2nd day i took the bike. Complaint to the shop and claim warranty. Wait about 1 month, renew the whole shaft (chrome) + seals.
2) Wont start if let the engine stop for about 2~3 days even pulling the choke. But manage to start after close the air inlet before the filter by my hand. I always have to do this if not run the motor for 2~3 days
3) The fuse blow. Even replaced with the original fuse (same rating) it blow. It happened last week. But, when change with other fuse (same rating) it didnt blow. According to the mechanic, the wire of the original fuse was too thin compared to the one that we use. still confused me and im worry if there something wrong with the wiring.
4) Many mechanic not recommend (even condemed) this bike. it is becasue of the spare parts. It hurt my feeling so much because i love this bike!

Whatever it is, this is a fun bike, even sometimes it feels like lacking of power and torque, but most of the times it is okey. I hope somebody can share with me what to do to tweak this little monster so it becomes better & meaner.

Dear Ajes....Welcom to the MZ community

As u are aware of.....this bike more or less have its own sickness,...from 1st batch until now,is probably 3rd batch..
What i unserstood was that the manufacturer try to replace & manuf their own part locally,...thats y u have plenty of problem after one another. As u understand, manufacturer wanna get a higher profit,so thy have to sacrifice on the quality.
Of cos i m qouting this without evidence, unless u hv known an "inside" man that wil provide u a definate unser.

The only way for them(manufacturer)to compete with other manuf,is to reduce the selling price which the 1st bike in M'sia was selling at RM13.500 (which inclusive of a spare set of MX rims,if u r buying motard)....probably now if not mistaken, the sellin price drop to RM7,600 if u purchase in cash.

As u have read thru all these thread sent by previous owners, there are much-much more stuff for u to experient.

Anyway i can help u much on the parts hunting in JB...but wish u can read thru the MZ125 M'sian forum & hope u can find a h.p contact in these forum...

Have a nice day lol.
