I didn't bother with trying to find the little mesh grommets as the location of the holes is behind the side panel , just below the seat line. Unless you are going to do some serious offroading I can';t see there being much of a problem ( the crud still has to get past the filter to do any harm)

Maybe I'm just cookie....but, when you put a free flowing exhaust on a bike it requires more fuel in the mixture right ??? When you increase air into the airbox you also need to richen up the mixture.... with what you have done, your bike should be running way too lean and popping badly on deaccel....also poor accel.... When my exhaust was put on when the bike was new, the dealer claimed to rejet (he lied) so my bike pops alot... I am taking my bike to a Dyno shop and have it done right for me because I really believe its running lean.......am I nuts or what ???
If you had that kind of success then I'm getting out the drill and putting holes in that thing as we speak
