First stop is check your battery is good, Had this trouble with the XT660 and a good quality battery or even good charge will solve it. Its a big lump to turn over, but as said previously once your up and running they are a great ride. Best of luck and welcome.
Hi John, had similar problem after 4 days of riding. Mine turned out to be a break in wires in the loom, and then a flat battery. Now sorted and think my Baghira is awesome You will really love it once sorted.
90 percent of your electrickery is bad ground connection and then dirty connections in general. A little wire brushing and dialectric grease goes along way towards reliabilty. Only change one thing at a time . Good luck
And the Baggy's not the first MZ to suffer from bad earthing. Had a similar problem on my (then nearly new) Saxon 2-smoke too.
You'd think they'd've sorted it by now...
But like the guys have said John, once it's fixed it's a MARVELLOUS bike. Do enjoy. I'm quite envious of all you Baggy owners and am starting to miss mine terribly, it's only about 4 years since I sold it...
