How do?
I picked up my first MZ last week. 01 Black Panther, badass bike for sure! Has 7K miles, PO liked to play; what he did:
Full aftermarket exhaust with carbon fiber M4 and carb tuning for it, Easton bars, European switchgear, came with all origional parts plus a box of extras (plugs, pads, books....). Both brake light switches had gone out so I came across this site on the hunt. Didnt find the exact info but enough to get me to the KTM shot to get them. I got the part #'s at home so later I'll hop on the origional post and get them up there.
Love the bike! Had an 03 KLR last year sold it to get a 78 XS and a plasma T.V. Was converting the XS to a scrambler but lost interest as the bike ran like shit and the PO had messed up more than I had the patience to straighten out so sold that off and by crazy luck found the MZ 10 miles from my house. Was looking for a W650 to scrambler or another KLR but as soon as a I saw the Baghira I was done.
Any who, Just wanted to say Hey

Welcome, I am new here myself. Where are you where did you get the bike? Did you get it from the guy in Eugene Oregon? I just turned 1000 miles on my Mastiff. Excellent bike.

Hi there. Love my Baggi.... not had it that long but have done some serious miles on it already - should clock up anther 700-800 miles in one weekend soon bombing around the country with my camping gear. It has such a strange reaction with people too..... went to a bike meet this evening, full of sports bikes. Went to go home and found a huge crowd staring at my bike! First thought was that it had got knocked over, but no, they were wondering what it was! :-D Everyone seems to like it, especially when they ride with me and see me disappear into the distance round the twisties.... never had such a big grin on my face! :-D :-D

I live in central Iowa (Ames) and go to ISU, GO CYCLONES! I got it from a guy that lives 10 miles from me. If I remember right he got it from a guy in Texas.
I know what you mean about the reactions! The people who know what it is are all excited and want to hear all about it and the people that dont know what it is are all confused, and even more confused when I tell them about it. I love that! You are right about the corners, i'm long gone before my buddy gets around.

LMAO. who are you kidding? corners in central Iowa? ha! 90 degree corners at each section line do not count! I grew up in Cedar Falls (yeah, my brothers house has 4 feet of water in it due to recent floods) and went to ISU in the early 80s...LOL. BTW, welcome to the wacky world of MZ. I usually explain it as a "German Yamaha.."
