First time i have ever seen this version of the 1000..Very naked

Ice, There was a short item a while back when the SF first appeared that said the "1050" on the flanks was only for show and the bike was really the standard 998. I haven't heard anymore about it, although I know this bike is being produced in Europe. I like the s--t brown color scheme.

I read the guy that designed the mz 1000 frame also designed the Aprilia Falco frame on my bike.
The splendid frame consists of a double beam of bent parallel aluminium and magnesium alloy extrusions (DOUBLE TWIN BEAM) guaranteeing the highest coefficient of torsional rigidity in its class.

the picture of the SFX shows the Design Studie of Jens von Brauck a German motorcylce designer.
Since begin of this year a bike based on the design is available from my MZ dealer SK-Bikes.
It is based on the 1000SF and is called MZ 1000SFx. Have a look

I think you are looking for the Seymore-Powell design team, they designed the tubular frame for the Scorpion and I think for the 1000s. The body styling was by Peter Neumann whom I think did the Aprillia Falco amongst others.
