Had my baghira for about a week now. It's a great bike, Big change from the other in my garage (Vmax, hayabusa, YZF750). Great to see theres a site full of information Anyone on here based in the UK ?

Glad to see someone else north of the border ( I live in Angus), how are you enjoying the Baggy? if you're anything like me it's nice to ride something a bit unusual, I've also got a 1200 bmw but it seems so do a hell of a lot of other people.

I had a couple of great rides last week, one was up to Breamar about 100 miles round trip but it was brill appart from missing the BMW heated grips!

The weather has stopped play for this week as we've got 4" of the white stuff on the deck, but when you get out on a very good day the feeling lasts and I'm still on a high from last week.

Your bike looks good, I see you've got the same pipe as me, I had to make a baffle as It was stupidly loud without (over policed nanny state)

Good to hear from another MZer in Scotland. I don't know of any Baggies, but there's at least ten of us with Skorpions. I'm in Renfrewshire, near Paisley.

Thanks for the welcome peeps. It was great for about a week and a half then... the bolt worked lose on the rear sprocket and caused some serious damage to the swing arm and rear sprocket carrier.

Does anyone know where I can get a new rear sprocket carrier for my '02 baghira? I'm desperate to get it back on the road... I'd also be interesed in a new swingarm...

Does anyone know what wheels I could use a a doner for the carrier? I can't find any parts for the MZ

try grahams in taunton,rear hubs are from yam xzt i think though you will find alternative parts on this site,think 660 forum.

not a pretty sight is it!!
There's a breaker on ebay selling a whole rear end off a mastiff, you could use the swing arm and sell the rest, or you could have yours welded and powder coated, either way it's a real shame what's happened and I would probably go around the whole bike checking for any other loose fasteners just in case

Yeah dude, I've bought a yammy tenre xtz660 rear sprocket carrier from ebay and I'll take the swingarm down to the local tech shop and get them to weld it fixed.

I think I'll need to invest in some new sprockets too as those on the bike look like the originals I just hope the engine is okay
