IOM, France, Summer

Well, it's nice to be back. Took the Skorpion to the IOM for the TT early in the Summer, indeed it seems like last year. Just when all hope of seeing another Zed had faded, I met up with three fellow enthusiasts from Lyon. Yes that's right these hardcore French lads had ridden all the way from Lyon to the IOM for the races. We spent some time going over their modified bikes and just talking Skorpions as best we could. Then three German chaps pulled in also on MZs; 2Ts this time and it was smiles and hellos all round. If your out there boys drop me a PM.

Three weeks camping in France over the summer with the family resulted in serious bike withdrawals, especially as the French are so bike focussed - I really must get over there next year. As we were close by it seemed fitting to return the compliment and to visit Lyon. Despite the luke warm response it gets in the guides, it is a lovely city and the food is excellent.

Now it is back to work and a commuting as the year and the weather draws in ...how was everyone elses summer.

Just back from the MZRC National Rally in Cheshire on the Traveller. Good trip down and back, if a bit wet on the return leg. There were a couple of other Skorps there. The owner of a Sport had brought his son on a H****a. I offered to let him try my Traveller and he loved it. I believe that he's now actively looking for one for himself.

Next trip is to Ireland in a couple of weeks, another MZRC event, followed by a run to the MZ Club Holland anniversary bash at the end of September.
