Postby comanche91 » Sat Nov 21, 2009 8:42 pm

Hi y'all. I have an opportunity to pickup a SilverStar Sidecar (Gespann) here in the US and it's like new. I have no idea what these are worth. My bike is a 95 SilverStar. Any avice for this MZ Newbie? Thanks; Donny

Hello

Sides have the motorcycles bad things and the car bad things.

Don, if you owned a side you will be the cool rider of your neighborhood 8) .

Saludos/Regards,

Yes, it comes w/ all mounting hardware. I'm not going to pursue this too much - there are a lot more things I'd rather have than a sidecar, but you're very right Manny, it would be cool. I can just picture me and my best friend, Gus the Cocker Spaniel, tooling around the Alabama backroads. I'd have to get a helmet for him though. :-D

BTW Manny, I did finally find the correct chain gaiters for my 500 in Germany.

Congratulation Don. :)

You can assemble this "kit" on the sidecar. D

Gus and you would have "fuel" for a long mileage. :D

Dayem Manny, I almost shat myself watching that. :-D Still laughing. Gus would be all over that leg, as he usually eats twice his own body weight every day. He would probably jump out of the sidecar for it. :smt005

I've been looking into the velorex sidecar setup, you can buy a brand new one for about $3000 with all the hardware and instructions, if it is used it might NOT have all the original stuff. Velorex is imported by the same Co. that imported MZ's into the US. You could carry a lot of ham in one of those!
