hi John,
I'm in a similar position to you in that I have a TS250/1 that has been "dormant" for I don't know how long, got it last year from a local bike shop....they got it as part of a job lot of bikes for spares. It's got a disc front end and 12V electrics (dunno if this is original?!) if the odo is to be believed has only done about 5,000 miles.......the down side is that it ain't registered and (for whatever reason) its engine number has been erased
and as I haven't any paperwork I reckon re-registering it may be "challenging"!
It's a barn find (complete with bits of bailer twine) but is not really in bad nick; I'm thinking more in terms of a ratty army green paintjob etc, and maybe even a sidecar! Good luck with yours, be interested to compare notes.
I won't be doing much to mine until I have somewhere to work on it (and money
); it's stored in my ex's garage for the moment.
I also run a 1991 (but on a K-plate) ETZ 251 and that is very much alive.......just got new fork seals and front tyre.
Being in the South East (Sussex) I get my stuff from Burwins, they certainly have bits for ETZs and Kanunis but I haven't tried getting ant TS bits yet.
Best of luck with yours, hope to get started on mine some time this year!
Simon
