Silver Star Classic Stand.

Postby syncroparge » Tue Aug 31, 2010 2:31 pm

HI everybody had a silver star classic a couple of weeks now. Just wondering did the classic come with a centre stand. Mine has a side stand, but no sight of fixings for centre stand. I would use my paddock stand for serviceing but silencer fouls it. Will an ETZ stand fit. Thanks ...Brian

Silver Star definitely has the center stand. I remember reading on the German forum that the ETZ center stands do not work. The MZ500R and Silver Star are unique, but will fit each other.

I have an extra Silver Star centre stand but shipping to the UK might be prohibitive.

You Silverstar guys with the fancy-pants pad on the end of your kick stands. The Tour bikes (and the Country I think) have the setup like pictured below. Basically a piece of unfinished electrical conduit with a round metal slag welded on the end.

Question: How long is the Silverstar's kickstand? The one on my Tour is way too short. It puts the bike at an weird angle when I have it down. You guys have the same problem? I do like the painted well finished look of the Silerstar's kickstand. I always thought that the Tours should have had some of the Silverstar's chrome bits, ie fenders and exhaust.

It's too short on the Silvi too Ryan. That's why I added about 5/8" length to it using 2" round aluminum stock on the end of it. Sooner or later it was going to fall over and I wouldn't be happy.
