I've got to thinking on why this bearing failed like it did. Maybe the lithium grease that I packed in the chain tubes pushed out the hi temp wheel bearing grease that I had packed in it when I changed the tire last. Or, do these bearings require a maintenance schedule in the hundreds of miles not thousands? I can't find any interval figure for this bearing in any of the books that I have. Maybe I should just make it a routine to pack this bearing every so often.
As far as tires, I settled with another set of Cheng Shins scored on the 'bay at a song. I just filled up on heating oil for the season so that was a deciding factor in the selection this time around. Ryan
