Saxon tire suggestions..

Postby 95SaxonTour » Sun Aug 22, 2010 3:25 pm

I need a good set soon. Right now I'm running a set of cheng shin crap-o's and they have about 12km on em'. What are the Saxon guys running that seems to work well for them. The Shins fit the budget at the time, now I'm looking to upgrade. I do a mix of slab and some off road gravel riding. So dual sports? I've had front fender clearance issues when I changed the tires last. Like burning a hole through the top of the fender.. I just swapped out the saxon tour fender with a cheaper etz type and that gave me a bit more room.

Thanks,
Ryan

Thanks,

I ran these Shinko 705s on my dual sport. Very nice on the street and decent on gravel.
I only put about 750 miles on them when I parked the bike for the Skorpion.

mine has tube type alloy rims and takes 300x 18 inch front and a 110/70x16 rear
the only thing i could find was Pirelli tires and the rear was same as Buell blast

120/80 - 16 M/C 60T TL MT 75
any thing bigger rubs the rubber chain cover because its to wide
warning your rim and tire size may be different

Thanks, I know all about the chain tube clearence issues. The guy I bought the bike off of had the tubes off and running a fat tire when I bought the bike. So, are all Tour owners running tubes in their alloy wheels? Im not... should I?

I have Bridgestone trail wings on my Country, they are still available even the 16 inch size.
They seem to work pretty well on and off road I go everywhere with it!
