Oil addatives.

Postby mastif » Wed Jan 19, 2011 3:53 pm

hi mzeders,i notised slick 50 for sale today, this is along standing oil addative that adds teflon coating; they cliam reduces friction and makes the engine last much longer.i remember years ago they used to advertise a lot.It got to the point they did a test on T.V.with the r.a.c.ensuring honest and fair results.Taking a standard car they added their slick 50 ran it a few hours, drained the sump, the r.a.c sealed the sump plug and filler then accompanied this car from london to scotland some 300 miles NO oil and it didnt seize up.It was popular for years[though expensive ] I used it once in my honda 750 k4 and tickover went up 200rpm.and was silky smooth .ime tempted to put it in the mastiff, if its that good why dont they /and on and on.any feed back/experiences, regards jim.
